Comments on A friend of mine wants to sell me a G. Burton electric acoustic guitar, are they good guitars?
NO watever you do dont get it. They are cheap. Veeery cheap. I did some research, and it appears that they make copies of other guitar, like music icon stratocaster. But they make cheap copies. You get what you paid for though. If you are looking to buy a beginner guitar, get one of those fender or epiphone started packs. Those are well known for beginner and intermediate guitarists alike.

It’s not a top-tier guitar. But there’s not a thing in the world wrong with it.
And no one is going to be able to tell you that the wood that the body is made from is of unacceptable quality, or that the radius of the neck makes it too difficult to play, or that it can’t hold a tuning because of a shoddy bridge, etc. Nothing like that.
But people are going to come here and scream bloody murder because you’re not shelling out $400 minimum for each and every instrument.
If it’s in good condition, then $60 or $70 is not unreasonable.
This isn’t the last guitar you’ll ever want for all of your life, but it might fill a legitimate need in the meantime until you run across that one.
I don’t know anything about that guitar, but if you’re looking for an inexpensive acoustic check the Epiphone DR100.
