the amp just amplifies. It’s not style-specific amplification without other factors, like pedals and distortion boxes, and the like, so, sure, that’s okay.
Yes, it will work through any standard guitar amplifier, but it might not necessarily sound as good as it would through an acoustic amplifier.
Yeah, it works. I don’t find that it gives the greatest sound quality, compared to an acoustic amp, or even a bass amp, but it does good enough. I did a gig the other day, and I had no better option than to use my acoustic electric through my Peavey electric guitar amp. I did fine with it. Check it out, if you want to hear what it sounds like.

If you want an electric guitar sound, use an electric guitar amp. You won’t get as much of that shimmery, sparkly quality to your tone, but you will get access to distortion and effects.
If you want that super clean sound, you would probably want an acoustic amp.
But yes, they’ll work just fine. Whether you like the sound or not is up to you.

Hello there,
Yes, of course you can use any guitar amp with an acoustic electric guitar. If your Peavey amp has a clean channel, you should play through that to get the proper acoustic sound. If your amp has EQ settings, you can adjust them to fit the acoustic sound. Bass guitar amps also work well with acoustic electric guitars. Ideally, you do not want to use a distortion or drive channel.
Later,
yeah it works
