Is the 1988 Ovation 1988-P considered a full straight-out electric or acoustic guitar?
I'm doing a performance at school next week, and the moderator told me that my guitar has to be full acoustic (NO ELECTRIC or anything w/ cables or anything that can be plugged into an amp). I have a 1988 Ovation 1988-P Collector's Edition steel-stringed guitar, and I was wondering if that is a full electric or semi-acoustic/electric w/ built-in pickup?
I don't know if my school moderator would allow my guitar to be played on stage. =/

Is there a hole on it to plug a cable into it and volume knobs?? If not, you are simply acoustic.
It’s an “Acoustic-Electric”. Since it has the ability to be plugged in, it sounds like he won’t allow it. Since it’s a shallow bowl – it doesn’t sound that great unplugged anyway. Borrow somebody’s real acoustic.
