i just got it for christmas along with a new amp, it sounds great. its my second guitar my first is an alvarez acoustic electric guitar with cut away.

The 1962 Wilshire Reissue is a genuine return to one of the high points in Epiphone's history, even if these guitars didn't really get the recognition they deserved until much later.
Vintage examples carry pretty hefty price tags these days, so it's terrific to see them return in this incarnation, if only as a limited edition run for now. This is a real player instrument, with the kind of neck that makes you feel just that little bit more competent than you really are, and a set of big, resonant tones that have real depth. It may look fairly modest, but this is a great example of how much you can achieve with a good piece of solid mohogany and a whole lot of know-how. This is a classic stuff and Epiphone has done a marvellous job in producing that vintage-guitar feel and tone.
The list price is high, however, and with limited numbers being made, these guitars may be hoovered up quickly by Wilshire fans. Here's hoping that Epiphone will make this a regular production model in future.
